Terrific Backhand Winner Hands Zverev the Match
Alexander Zverev, a young German tennis player, has won the 2023 Barcelona Open. He defeated Carlos Alcaraz, a 19-year-old rising star from Spain.
Zverev's Victory
Zverev started the match strong, winning the first set 6-1. However, Alcaraz fought back and won the second set 6-3. The third set was close, but Zverev ultimately won 7-5. The player was forced to retire in the second set due to an ankle injury. It gave Zverev a walkover victory and his second Grand Slam title.
